Edited by: Raven God on 02/07/2011 21:03:26 I for one would like to thank anyone who spoke out against this.
I'm convinced that if you hadn't done what you did we would've been looking at P2W within 6 months.
All the people that told you to quit should be on their knees for you
CCP might be pretending they never even considered it but im pretty sure we know better.
Regardless of their original intentions, we have delayed P2W for a year or so atleast.
Thank you for saving my internet spaceships!

Although the ingame protests were admirable, the protesting im referring to was done mostly on the forums.
Starting a thread saying "No to P2W" is considered a protest to me

Originally by: San Severina you don't know if you delayed anything.
stop congratulating yourself & face reality.
we have DOOR, unable to run multiple clients & the ridiculous vanity store.
They just made the statement that they're not planning on selling non-vanity items, I think it would be hard for them to go back on those words within the next year atleast.
The door should be leaving soonish and replaced with your spinny ship feature, honestly who cares about that door or spinning is the same.
If you cant run multiple clients then you need to get a decent computer, if you cant afford one quit gaming and get a job.

You'd think so, but almost exactly a year ago CCP had no plans for MT. Now we've actually got an ingame store dedicated to it. Given their glacial development speed, how long do you think their no-MT promise actually lasted? One month? Two months? Three at the most
And then the devblog goes on to address our concerns:
- NeX for ships - greenlighted
- Load station environment remains a temporary measure
If you think they extended some kind of olive branch and listened to their playerbase, you're an idiot. Within a year features that should've been free will be sold in their MT scheme.
There is no way they will release game changing MT within the next year atleast.
If I am wrong, I will give you all my isk
I dont expect that this will be permanent, but I still feel like we delayed it significantly.
Whose to say the outrage wont be even more next time they try to release it.
